DESCRIPTION:Venn Evening School is a learning journey in Christian essentials\, through night classes in Bible\, Doctrine\, and Christian Living. \nThe Christian faith is the good way\, a journey with God that unfolds over the course of a lifetime. Evening School is a place for you to deepen your understanding of God\, and God’s work in the world. It’s a learning journey for your faith\, an accessible offering of evening classes grounded in the Bible\, the Christian tradition\, and pastoral wisdom. In this\, it follows the ancient paths of the Church: learning to follow and serve Christ with others for the good of the world. \nEvening School runs over three Wednesday nights each season. There are three classes to choose from—you’ll choose one to take part in over the three weeks. \nClasses on offer this Autumn: \nGospels: Matthew – Sam Martin\nWho is God? – Nathan McLellan\nPraying the Psalms – John Dennison\, Michelle Young\, & Luke Fenwick \nEvening School is for anyone—whether you’re new to the faith or have been following Jesus for years. SUMMARY:MMNZ Camp 2026 - Old Man vs the New Man
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 4\n22 to put off your old self\, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires\, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds\, 24 and to put on the new self\, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. \nBeing transformed by the renewal of your mind is the key to true breakthrough. A man can claim to believe in Jesus and attend church every Sunday\, yet still be deeply entangled in the things of this world. Salvation is not proven by attendance or words alone\, but by transformation. Renewing the mind requires spiritual maturity and a willingness to live out the commandments of the LORD. \nMany men become trapped in tradition and religion rather than relationship. This often has a profound impact on their family life\, marriages\, and personal relationships. Transformation requires action — the old man must be put to death so that the new man can be born. You cannot live in both worlds. The old nature must be surrendered for the new nature to take its place. \nThis topic creates an opportunity for men who have previously attended Mighty Men camps to testify to how they have grown in their faith. Speaking from lived experience strengthens the authenticity of our mission: equipping men to walk the walk\, not just talk the talk. \nIt also provides a safe space for men to step forward\, share their struggles\, and place themselves in accountability with the group. This openness builds courage and community\, encouraging men to return to future camps to testify about their breakthroughs\, answered prayers\, and miracles. \nThrough this teaching\, we can call sin by its name — not to condemn\, but to bring freedom. We can present a clear and strategic plan to walk away from destructive thoughts and behaviours\, helping men turn the tide in their lives\, begin bearing good fruit\, and live without regret. \nVENUE: \nThis year\, MMNZ will once again be hosting a weekend camp at Christian Youth Camps (CYC)\, the same beautiful venue as last year. Located just one hour south of Manukau City and 20 minutes north of Hamilton\, CYC is nestled between the Waipa River and the stunning Hakarimata Scenic Reserve. The camp spans 38 hectares of native bush\, pastures\, and excellent facilities.
